Stewarding extraordinary places

Sacred and culturally significant landscapes are vital to the future. They are refuges of extraordinary biological and cultural diversity; they are transformative places that reconnect us to life, hope and spirit; and they are fragile. A strong partnership between custodians, local communities, funders and government can ensure that these extraordinary places continue to thrive and give strength and wisdom to future generations.

We work with traditional custodians, protected area managers, governments, development agencies, researchers and local communities to build values-led partnerships for each unique place. We document the history and diversity of a site, discover custodial rights, and facilitate planning (including claims to stewardship and access). We work with our clients to develop management plans, train site managers, and implement robust procedures for monitoring and protecting the cultural, biological and spiritual health of a site.
