This is the largest conference ever convened on anthropology and the conservation of biological diversity. The emphasis is strongly on decolonizing methods, more-than-human ethnographies, and Indigenous- and local- led initiatives.

Situgyan Consulting will be represented by Will Tuladhar-Douglas, who is leading a panel on the anthropology and ethnobiology of bats (P026), and giving a paper together with Farid Uddin Ahamed (University of Chittagong) on turtle conservation at the Bayazed Bostami shrine in Chittagong.
